Common questions

Insurance in Brazil: what foreigners ask us

Can a foreign-owned company buy insurance in Brazil?
Yes. Once your company has a Brazilian tax ID (CNPJ), it can contract corporate health plans, surety bonds, property and liability insurance like any local company. We guide you through the requirements in English.
Do my employees need to be Brazilian to join a company health plan?
No. Employees generally need a CPF (individual tax ID) and a formal link to the company. Expat employees with a valid visa and CPF can usually be included — rules vary by insurer, and we check them for you.
Is health insurance in Brazil regulated?
Yes. Health plans are regulated by ANS and other insurance lines by SUSEP, both federal agencies. World Quality is a licensed broker (SUSEP 202063067) operating since 1998.
How much does it cost to use a broker?
Nothing. In Brazil, brokers are paid a commission by the insurer — our comparison, advice and after-sales support come at no extra cost to you.
Can you serve me in English?
